gone with the old in with the new

    So here goes nothing......
havent written here in for so long, i guess because i just have been so complacent. i lost my job yesterday...its not the end of the world since i was a lifeguard this past summer and new that it was only going to last another week till it was over. i just wish i would stop getting an endless string of meaningless jobs and actually manage to be employed in an area where i am using my skills from college....or better yet i hope for the day that i am finacally able to go back and finish college. I came so close but its as if those days are a million miles away. each choice i make seems to take me a mile further away from accomplishing my goals. anyways thats enough self pity. i have to peace out and try and scower the town for a job that not only is a bikable distance from carrboro but also pays enough to cover rent.

I haven't updated this is a while but I guess now is as good a time as any.....

First off Christmas 2005 turned out to be one of the best I have ever had. While my surroundings haven't been comfortable and I have been constantly bogged down with ish that come out of nowhere, I have grown alot. I have never been as monetarily poor as I am right at this moment but its fine with me because I know this will go away with work. I have realized that I can't try and forget about the important ish just to focus on the next party or great hangout. I'm sick as a dog right now because I have a sinus infection and I also haven't smoked in 5 days. The sinus infection is a blessing because I don't desire a cigarette. Hopefully this lasts as well. Pretty much that's about it. Being poor has its advantages, I take pleasure in the little things and see that I wasted so much time and money on crap…I guess the biggest thing that I can say for this time I have spent at home is that my parents and I have become closer and my brother and I have rebuilt our friendship. I find that family is better then any party or substance that I experienced at CU. I just wish I hadn’t had to fall so low to realize this. Well that’s it I guess for this entry…

Wow.....time flies. Anyways it's been a while since I updated so I thought I might enlighten yall with what's happing in my world. I currently am workin at the Duke golf course doing maintence. It's definitely hard work but I make decent money and its a steady 40-50 hr a week job so I cant complain. I also am workin at Elmo's Diner which is good. The food is good and the management actually is communicative as compared to such establishments as the Varsity Ale House, but thats another story. I was quite suprised to find the managers listened to you and werent in the back doing lines...anyways. All in all life has been topsy turvy. Raliegh sucks in more ways then one. I have no desire to ever step foot into that city again. long story, hit me up on aim or call me to find out because I rather not turn this entry into a drawn out b*tch session about how horrible my life is. All in all these past few weeks I have seen alot of changes. I miss my social life but I also see where it caused me to fail. I guess right now I am tryin to make solid goals and accomplish them because I see so many lost people on Franklin St. and 9th St. and I see myself in there faces, in many ways. All in all I guess the best thing that has happend to me since the last post is that my relationship with my parents has gotten 100% better. We communicate more without arguments and they actually listen to me. Well that's about it. I deff would love to chat with old friends so hit me up on the cell (919)-880-3381 or email me.

By the by I went to the Will Hoge/ Missy Higgins concert on Tuesday at Local 506 in Chapel Hill. Both acts were amazing, you definitely need to check out Missy ( she a a bit like Fiona Apple and Nora Jones rolled into one).
